Formerly Acessible Resources for Teaching (ART)
The Centre for Faculty Development in partnership with University of TorontoX is launching our first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on edX.com These courses (formerly Accessible Resource for Teaching – ART) will highlight foundational, intermediate and more advanced areas of teaching and learning for health professional teachers that can be applied directly to their teaching context and practice.
We expect to have 6 different courses on edX, with our first 3 courses; Level 1 – Foundational, Level 2 – Clinical Teaching Tools and Level 3 – Professionalism now live. We anticipate launching our 4th course in December 2016 with additional courses released over the next 2 years.
Registration in the MOOC is always free and can be done by creating an account on edX. Those who wish to receive a verified certificate for completing the course, can do so for a $50 fee.
Those with affiliations to the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons can apply your completion of the course(s) to a Linking Learning to Practice learning activity (MainPro C – 2 credits per course or Main Pro 2 – 2 credits per hour) or as a Personal Learning Project: Prepare for Formal Teaching Activity (Section 2 – 2 credits per hour).
